Job summary

Fortem Solutions is recruiting a permanent Electrician to join our responsive repairs and maintenance team. The role covers a patch across Stratford upon Avon and surrounding areas, so travel is part of the job and a full UK driving licence is essential.

Core hours are Monday to Friday, 8.00am–4:30pm, with a competitive salary and a company van. We require NVQ Level 3 Electrical with AM2, C&G 18th Edition, and a valid DBS check.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical (2356) with AM2 portfolio to support your experience (not just EAL)
• C&G 18th Edition Certificate
• Full UK driving license with less than 6 points and no recent driving bans
• Must be able to pass a Basic DBS Check

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs whilst remaining within budget and time parameters.
• Carry out all aspects of maintenance and repairs on all electrical engineering services as required, ensuring all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of supervision.
• Installing, servicing and maintaining electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations
• Installation, repair, inspect & test electrical installations and have the ability to fill in correctly the appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical Condition Report
• Carry out EICRs and remedial upgrades to properties.
• Completing reactive maintenance work as per the specification.
• Advising Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required.
• Working in partnership with other operatives to complete projects.
• Completing daily work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken.
• Provide excellent customer service to both tenants and clients.

The Role

We have an exciting new opportunity for a permanent Electrician to join us on our responsive repairs and maintenance team at the Orbit Housing branch.

This will be covering a patch of social housing properties across Stratford upon Avon and surrounding areas, therefore travel will be part of this role and a full UK driving licence is essential and the core working hours are Monday to Friday Start at 8.00am-4:30pm

We provide a competitive salary + Company Van, Fuel card and Power Tools.+ Generous paying ON CALL Rota (Approx. 1 week in every 5-6 weeks)

The Customer

Fortem's contract with Orbit Housing covers over 17,000 properties across Stratford-upon-Avon, Leamington Spa, Coventry, Nuneaton, Northampton, Milton Keynes and Bedford.
