Job summary

Mears Group Electrician role in Norwich focuses on void properties, EICRs, C1/C2 defects and testing to ensure safety compliance. You’ll wire kitchen circuits, install extraction fans and back kitchen upgrades.

• Experience in domestic social housing.
• Inspection and Testing 2391 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Complete inspection and testing to ensure safety compliance.
• Wire new kitchen circuits and install extraction fans.

Delivering a range of property services, including reactive repairs, planned and cyclical maintenance services to over 100 local authorities and housing providers nationwide including, Orbit: one of the largest housing providers in the midlands, east Anglia and the southeast.

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified Electrician to work primarily in void properties, carrying out EICRs, rectifying C1 and C2 defects, and completing inspection and testing to ensure full compliance with safety standards. The role includes wiring new kitchen circuits, installing and replacing extraction fans, and supporting kitchen upgrade works.

You will also provide support to responsive repairs when required and take part in the emergency call‑out rota. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in inspection, testing and fault finding, be able to work independently, and consistently deliver high‑quality, compliant work with strong attention to detail.

Key Criteria:

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations - to include AM2

• City & Guilds 18th Edition (If you have 17th edition you can work through your 18th edition)

• Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record

• Previous domestic, social housing experience

• Inspection and Testing 2391 or equivalent (2394/2395) preferable
