Job summary

Time Recruitment Solutions Limited in Manchester is seeking a fully qualified Electrician with testing and certification experience to join their team on a long-term contract across social housing properties.

You will work in occupied and void properties, carrying out electrical installation, testing, inspection, maintenance, and remedial works. You will certify works via NAPIT and liaise with tenants, ensuring high standards of safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Electrician status.
• Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3, AM2, 18th Edition or equivalent).
• Valid ECS Card.
• Proven testing and inspection experience.
• Own calibrated testing equipment.
• Own tools.
• Own transport.
• Experience in social housing, domestic maintenance, or property refurbishment.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out electrical installation, maintenance, and remedial works.
• Testing and inspection of electrical systems.
• Completing Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs) and Minor Works Certificates.
• Certifying works via NAPIT registration.
• Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults.
• Working in occupied and vacant social housing properties.
• Ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
• Liaising with tenants and residents to provide a professional service.
• Maintaining accurate records of completed works.

Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (hours may vary)

Our client is currently seeking a fully qualified Electrician with testing and certification experience to join their team working across social housing properties throughout Manchester.

This role will involve working in both occupied and void properties, carrying out electrical installation, testing, inspection, maintenance, and remedial works. The successful candidate must be confident working independently, liaising with tenants, and certifying completed works.

The Role

As an Electrician, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out electrical installation, maintenance, and remedial works
• Testing and inspection of electrical systems
• Completing Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs), Minor Works Certificates, and other relevant documentation
• Certifying all completed works through the company's NAPIT registration
• Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults
• Working within both occupied and unoccupied social housing properties
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with current regulations
• Providing a professional service when interacting with tenants and residents
• Maintaining accurate records of completed works

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• Fully qualified Electrician status
• Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3, AM2, 18th Edition or equivalent)
• Valid ECS Card
• Proven testing and inspection experience
• Own calibrated testing equipment
• Own tools
• Own transport
• Previous experience working within social housing, domestic maintenance, or property refurbishment environments
• Strong understanding of current electrical regulations and certification procedures
• DBS Certificate or willingness to undergo a DBS check
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
