Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group is seeking a qualified Electrician to perform responsive repairs and electrical maintenance across social housing properties in Ealing. You will work in occupied homes carrying out repairs, tests and inspections, while ensuring compliance with current regulations and health and safety standards.

Role includes fault-finding, rewires, installing accessories, recording work in management systems, and delivering excellent customer service to residents.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations including AM2.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition (or 17th Edition with willingness to update).
• Inspection and Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent 2394/2395).
• Previous experience in domestic repairs and maintenance, ideally in social housing.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out electrical repairs and maintenance in occupied properties.
• Repairing and replacing sockets, switches, light fittings and extractor fans.
• Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults, including consumer units.
• Carrying out electrical testing and inspections.
• Completing first-fix works, including full and partial rewires.
• Installing additional sockets, cabling and electrical accessories.
• Ensuring all work complies with current electrical regulations and Health & Safety standards.
• Recording completed works using job management systems.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and tidy working environment.
• Providing excellent customer service to residents.
