Build Recruitment Limited is seeking a fully qualified Electrician for a social housing and MOD maintenance contract across Edinburgh, Fife and the central belt, with a minimum four-month commitment and a competitive rate. We’re working with a powerhouse in the social housing maintenance sector who are looking for a skilled Electrician to join their team on a long-term maintenance contract. This will be for Edinburgh, Fife and the central belt.
This isn’t your typical domestic electrical role. You’ll be working across social housing properties and MOD sites, carrying out a mixture of planned and reactive electrical works. With a minimum 4-month contract, there’s plenty of work on offer for the right person.
Your day-to-day work will include:
Carrying out EICRs and electrical remedial works
Kitchen and bathroom electrical installations
Fault finding and diagnosis
Repairs, maintenance and upgrades
Testing and certification
Working across social housing and MOD properties
Ensuring all work is completed safely and to the required standards
We’re looking for an experienced electrician who can hit the ground running.
You’ll need:
Relevant electrical qualifications
Proven experience in social housing, maintenance or similar environments
Strong fault-finding skills
Experience completing EICRs
The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
A professional approach when working in residents’ homes
The ability to pass the required MOD/security disclosure checks
40 hours per week
Minimum 4-month contract
