Job summary

Build Recruitment seeks a qualified electrician for permanent work across Cornwall. You will install and commission commercial renewable energy systems including Solar PV, heat pumps, EV chargers and energy storage, running cables and coordinating with the design team.

A van, fuel card and tools are provided. Key requirements include a driving license, NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3, 18th Edition, JIB/ECS/CSCS card, and renewables sector experience.

Qualifications

  • NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in electrical installation.
  • 18th Edition wiring regulations.
  • JIB/ECS/CSCS card is required.
  • 2391 test and inspection is preferred.
  • AM2 is preferred for the role.
  • Experience as an electrician is essential, with renewables sector experience.
  • Driving license is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Install and commission electrical systems on commercial renewable projects.
  • Run cables and work with inverters.
  • Coordinate with design team and project managers; plan and program installation works.
  • Undertake risk assessments and ensure safety on site.
  • Liaise with clients and sub-contractors; maintain a safe, tidy work environment.
  • Complete job sheets and time sheets; manage tools and equipment.

Electrician - Cornwall operational

Commercial - Renewables projects

Permanent position with a salary of £38,000 - £42,000 van, tools and fuel card.

A great opportunity to start a permanent operational role as a commercial electrician.

Worklists may vary from site to site. To plan, oversee, install and commission commercial on-site renewable energy and energy efficient systems. Working with a team or teams installing and possibly managing the installation and integration of renewable energy systems into commercial properties including:

  • Solar PV
  • Ground and air source heat pumps
  • EV Chargers
  • Energy Storage SystemsDay to day:

Installing and commissioning electrical systems. Running cables. Working with inverters. Communicate and work with design team, project managers, programming installation works. Running smaller jobs independently. To undertake risk assessments and to ensure that it is safe to work. Liaising with clients, other members of staff or sub contractors on site. Site safety, helping to maintain a safe working environment. To bring any risks to the attention of the company management. Complete all necessary job sheets, time sheets and other documentation as required. To take responsibility of tools and equipment issued by the company.

Requirements:
  • A driving license is essential to this role.
  • You will be provided with a company van and fuel card.
  • NVQ or City & Guilds level 3.
  • 18th Edition.
  • JIB/ECS/CSCS card.
  • 2391 test and inspection (Preferable but not essential)
  • AM2(Preferable but not essential)
  • Previous experience as anelectricianis essential.
  • Previous experience within the renewables sector is essential.
  • Good timekeeping.
  • Good at dealingwith clients.
  • To conduct ones self professionally at all times.
  • To maintain a safe and tidyworking environment.
