The Best Connection is seeking a qualified electrician for renewable energy installations in Derby. The role involves field-based work installing ATS and relocating solar inverters and battery storage into external enclosures, with testing and certification of installations.

You will ensure compliance with BS 7671 and industry standards, diagnose faults, and maintain high workmanship and safety. Strong customer service and professional presentation are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
• City & Guilds 2391/2931 Inspection & Testing
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
• AM2 Qualification
• Full UK Driving Licence

Responsibilities

Qualified Electrician - Renewable Energy Systems

Location: Derby (UK-wide travel required)

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 pa depending on experience

As demand continues to grow, we're looking for a qualified electrician to join our expanding installation team.

The Role

This is a field-based role installing Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) and relocating existing solar inverters and battery storage systems from inside domestic properties into our purpose-designed external enclosures.

You will be responsible for carrying out safe, compliant, high-quality installations while delivering an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out testing, inspection and certification of completed installations.
