Job summary

Morgan Sindall Property Services is seeking a qualified Electrician to join our repairs and maintenance team across social housing properties in South and West Yorkshire. You will perform electrical repairs, testing, fault finding and installations, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering high-quality service to residents.

In this permanent role, you will potentially undertake basic multi-skilled tasks, manage van stock and use electronic systems to record work.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Installation – Buildings & Structures) OR Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment)
• Level 3 Certificate in the Certification of Electrical Installations OR City & Guilds 2394/2395 Awards
• Experience carrying out electrical repairs, testing, fault finding and installation work in domestic properties
• Experience completing EICRs and condition reporting
• UK driving licence and ability to use company vehicle for work

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality electrical repairs, testing, installation and EICRs across social housing properties.
• Diagnose faults, complete repairs and installations while complying with current regulations.
• Use electronic systems to manage and record work; maintain van stock levels.
• Work independently and as part of a wider team; contribute to first-time fix rates.
• Undertake basic multi-skilled tasks when required; ensure residents’ safety and satisfaction.

We're looking for a qualified Electrician who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service to join our repairs and maintenance team working across social housing properties throughout South and West Yorkshire. You'll play an important role in helping to keep residents safe by maintaining compliant electrical systems and delivering high-quality repairs across local communities.

About the role

Working across social housing properties throughout South and West Yorkshire, you'll deliver a high-quality, right first-time service carrying out a variety of electrical repairs, testing, installation and condition reporting works.

You'll be responsible for diagnosing faults, completing repairs, carrying out EICRs and inspections, and undertaking installation works while ensuring full compliance with current electrical regulations and company standards. Working both independently and as part of a wider team, you'll use electronic systems to manage and record your work, maintain van stock levels and contribute towards achieving excellent first-time fix rates.

This is a varied role offering the opportunity to utilise your electrical expertise while also undertaking basic multi-skilled tasks where required. You'll play an important part in maintaining safe, compliant homes and delivering an exceptional service to residents.

About you

Essential Qualifications

You must hold:

• Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Installation – Buildings & Structures), OR
• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment)

Plus either:

• Level 3 Certificate in the Certification of Electrical Installations (Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations), OR
• City & Guilds 2394 Level 3 Award in Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations and City & Guilds 2395 Level 3 Award in Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations

Skills & Experience

• Experience carrying out electrical repairs, testing, fault finding and installation work within domestic properties
• Experience completing EICRs and condition reporting
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Strong commitment to health and safety and customer service
• ECS Gold Card (desirable)

You must hold a valid full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months as a company vehicle will be provided (work use only).
