Job summary

FINTEC recruit Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrician to join a busy manufacturing site in Inverness. The role covers maintenance, repair and improvement of electrical equipment across the factory, yard and office areas.

You will report to the Electrical Supervisor, work with production and engineering colleagues, perform planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and support installation and commissioning of equipment while upholding safety, quality and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified to City & Guilds level or above.
• Industrial maintenance experience.
• PLC knowledge, preferably Allen Bradley 5/40 and Siemens Step 5.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Use and maintain electrical equipment safely and efficiently across the site.
• Work collaboratively with production and engineering colleagues.
• Respond to and repair electrical breakdowns throughout the plant.
• Modify and improve procedures and programmes where required.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Identify and report early signs of equipment failure.
• Keep maintenance documentation up to date, including logbooks, programme additions and changes.
• Support the installation and commissioning of equipment and services.
• Carry out isolation and de-isolation activities in line with permit-to-work procedures.
• Assist with other engineering tasks when required.
• Maintain good engineering and housekeeping standards across all work areas.
• Actively support site safety standards and participate in relevant safety activities
