Tozer Group is seeking an Electrician to join its team working on Solar Farms in Gloucester and surrounding areas. The role focuses on planned and reactive maintenance of solar PV systems, with opportunities to progress into Solar O&M activities.

Ideal candidates will have an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical, 18th Edition knowledge, and strong fault-finding skills. A full UK driving licence is required, and experience in industrial/commercial settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification is required.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) knowledge is required.
• Previous Industrial or Commercial electrical experience is preferred.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills are essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on Solar PV systems.
• Fault find, diagnose and repair electrical faults on solar farms.
• Service and maintain ground-mounted solar farms with safe practices.
• Replace and repair inverters, panels, cabling and electrical equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requirements.
• Complete electrical testing and inspections where required.

Electrician – Solar Farms | Gloucester

Are you an experienced Electrician looking to build a career within the renewable energy and solar sector?

We are currently recruiting for an Electrician to join a leading renewable energy company, working across Ground Mount Solar Farms in Gloucester and the surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Industrial or Commercial Electrician looking to move into Solar PV / Renewable Energy. Previous solar experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.

The Role

As a Solar Electrician, you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance, servicing and fault finding of solar power systems across ground-mounted solar farms.

The majority of sites will be local to the Gloucester area, meaning minimal travel and no regular long-distance stay away.

You will also have the opportunity to progress within the business and take further ownership of Solar O&M (Operations & Maintenance) activities, including planning and scheduling maintenance visits and responding to faults and breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on Solar PV systems
• Fault find, diagnose and repair electrical faults
• Service and maintain ground mount solar farms
• Replace and repair inverters, modules, panels, cabling and associated electrical equipment
• Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requirements
• Complete electrical testing and inspections where required
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to the required standards
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
• Progress towards taking greater ownership of Solar O&M activities

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification

• Previous Industrial or Commercial electrical experience
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Solar PV / Renewable Energy / BESS / Battery Storage experience is preferred but not essential
• Candidates from an Industrial, Commercial, Electrical Maintenance or Engineering background are encouraged to apply
