Job summary

Gloucester City Homes Limited is looking for an enthusiastic Electrician to join the PropertyCare Electrical Team in Gloucester to deliver electrical services across social housing. You will carry out EICRs, repairs, void works and rewiring as needed, focusing on customer satisfaction and safe, compliant installations.

The role requires City & Guilds 2382-18 and NVQ Level 3, with AM2 and ECS Gold Card desirable.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.
• City & Guilds 2382-18 (18th Edition) required.
• 2391/2394/2395 inspection qualifications desirable.
• AM2 Practical Assessment completed.
• ECS Gold Card (qualified/approved) desirable.
• Domestic electrical testing experience is essential.
• Basic IT skills and ability to use a laptop.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out EICRs in occupied and unoccupied properties.
• Perform reactive and responsive electrical repairs and void works.
• Carry out door entry servicing and emergency lighting servicing/repairs.
• Carry out rewiring work where required.
• Provide a high standard of customer service and work independently or as part of a team.

Permanent, Full Time (40 hrs per week, Monday to Friday)

The GCH PropertyCare Electrical Team are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Electrician, who would like the opportunity to work in the social housing sector, making a positive impact to our customers lives.

As a member of the GCH electrical team, you will be required to provide excellent customer service and be expected to work independently, and as part of a team. Your scope of works will include carrying out EICR’s in both occupied and unoccupied properties, reactive and responsive repairs, void works, door entry servicing, emergency lighting servicing and repairs, and rewires.

We’d like you to have –

• Hold City & Guilds 2382-18, 18th Edition IET wiring Regulations
• City & Guilds Electrical Qualifications 2391 or 2394/5 – (desirable)
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• AM2 Practical Assessment.
• ECS Gold Card (showing qualified/approved status). (desirable)
• Domestic periodic inspection and testing experience (essential)
• Basic IT skills, must be able to use a laptop (essential)
• Excellent communication and customer service skill.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A valid UK driving licence.
