Job summary

Jonta M&E seeks Electricians for a major data centre project in Scotland, with about 30 electricians required on a long-term basis. The role focuses on electrical installation of specialist cooling systems and associated equipment, with commissioning not included. Candidates with industrial or data centre experience are preferred.

IPaf/PASMA a plus, JIB Gold Card preferred; ECS accepted. Excellent on-site parking and a long-running project with a strong health and safety focus.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition essential.
• JIB Gold Card preferred; valid ECS Card acceptable.
• Proven electrical installation experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, data centre or similar environments.
• IPAF and PASMA advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Electrical installation works for data centre cooling systems and related electrical works.
• Process installations from initial wiring to control panel connections.
• Follow electrical drawings and specs to complete installations safely and accurately.
• Work as part of a large site team maintaining health, safety and workmanship standards.
• Coordinate with site management to deliver projects to programme.

Electricians

Electricians needed in Glasgow, Scotland, close to Airdrie, Coatbridge, Motherwell, Hamilton and Cumbernauld.

We are currently recruiting for Electricians to work on a major data centre project in Scotland, with 30 electricians required for a long-term project.

The work will be primarily focused on the electrical installation of specialist cooling systems and associated mechanical equipment, with electricians working through installation and control panel connections. Commissioning is not currently within the scope.

This is a large-scale industrial project and candidates with industrial, pharmaceutical, heavy engineering or similar electrical installation experience will be considered. Previous data centre experience is beneficial but not essential.

Duties

• Electrical installation works associated with specialist data centre cooling systems.
• Installation through to control panel connections and associated electrical works.
• Working from electrical drawings and specifications to complete installations safely and accurately.
• Working as part of a large site team, maintaining high standards of health, safety and workmanship.
• Working alongside the site management team to ensure projects are delivered to programme.

Requirements

• 18th Edition essential.
• JIB Gold Card preferred; strong candidates with a valid ECS Card will also be considered.
• Proven electrical installation experience within industrial, pharmaceutical, heavy engineering, data centre or similar environments.
• Ability to work on a large-scale project as part of a team.
• IPAF and PASMA advantageous but not essential.

Pay & Hours

• £300 per day
• 9-10 hour working days
• Long-term project opportunity.
