Job summary

Alecto Recruitment is seeking an experienced UK Qualified Electrician for testing and inspection roles in Glasgow, with no call-out rota and a local, predictable schedule.

You will perform testing and inspection, remedial works, and security system cabling, working with a small team across Fire Stations and substations, with a company van included and overtime available.

Qualifications

• UK Qualified Electrician
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Amendment 3)
• Previous experience carrying out testing and inspection
• Experience with remedial works and commercial electrical installations
• Full UK Driving Licence
• A reliable, professional engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality work

Responsibilities

• Carrying out electrical testing and inspection works
• Completing remedial works following inspections
• Electrical installation including cabling and containment for security systems
• Supporting building maintenance and minor electrical works
• Working across Fire Stations and Scottish Power substations
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with current regulations
• Working as part of a small, supportive engineering team

Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Electricians based in or around Glasgow who are looking for a local position with no call-out rota and excellent work-life balance.

This is an ideal opportunity for a qualified electrician who enjoys testing, inspection and remedial work rather than heavy installation projects. You'll primarily be working across Fire Stations and Scottish Power substations, carrying out electrical testing, remedial works and supporting the electrical installation of security systems alongside an experienced team.

What You Get

• 22.00 - 25.00 per hour
