Job summary

Roberts & Prowse based in Swindon, Wiltshire, is seeking a time-served Electrician to join our commercial/industrial team. You will undertake electrical Works in commercial environments around the South West, reporting to Electrical Contracts Managers and managing on-site tasks with accuracy and reliability.

The role requires 18th Edition BS7671, NVQ Level 3/C&G, and experience reading drawings. A full driving license, ECS Gold Card, and IPAF are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with commercial/industrial experience.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and specifications.
• Full driving license; ECS Gold Card advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation work as required by the company.
• Carry out electrical testing and complete test sheets.
• Manage on-site labour and materials; keep records of extra works and delays.
• Ensure all works comply with health and safety standards and regulations.

Rate of Pay: £Competitive Hourly Rate of Pay up to £22.50p/h (Dependent upon experience)

The Company: Roberts & Prowse based in Elgin Ind Estate, Swindon, Wiltshire are a Mechanical and Electrical Services Contractor who operate throughout the South West of the UK. Due to sustained success and growth are recruiting for an Electrician to join our busy team.

The Role: As an Electrician you will report directly to the Electrical Contracts Managers and will be given the responsibility for undertaking Electrical Works within commercial environments in and around the South West.

Duties will include:

• Carrying out electrical installation work as required by the company
• Carrying out electrical testing (Desirable)
• Completing all necessary documentation as required, including electrical test sheets as requested by the Electrical Contracts Managers
• Carr out all aspects of jobs on site, including labour and materials
• Keeping job records, to include any extra works, materials used and any delays incurred
• Carrying out all works to a high standard whilst complying with all relevant health and safety standards
• Liaising with Electrical Contracts Managers on any work-related issues

The Person:

To be considered for this role, you must be fully qualified and have proven, previous experience as an Electrician including:

• Obtained 18th Edition qualification in BS7671:2018+A2 2022 IET Wiring Regulations
• NVQ Level 3 or C&G equivalent
• C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing (Desirable, training can also be provided)
• Commercial / industrial electrical experience preferred
• Ability to read electrical drawings, panel drawings and electrical specifications
• Ability to inspect, test and complete relevant paperwork for new and periodic work
• A full driving license
• ECS Gold Card an advantage
• IPAF an advantage

Essentially you will be a Time Served Electrician having worked in a Commercial, Industrial environment. Work accurately and effectively with minimal supervision, work well under pressure.
