Job summary

Contek Recruitment Solutions Ltd seeks an experienced JIB Gold Card Electrician for a six-week refurbishment project in Derby. Immediate start with 07:00–15:30 hours from Monday to Friday, Saturdays available as required.

You will work as part of a focused team on LED lighting upgrades, power trunking, DB support and first/second fixing in a school environment. Ideal candidates will hold a JIB/ECS Gold Card, have 18th Edition, and bring their own tools and full PPE.

Responsibilities

• LED Lighting Retrofit: remove outdated fittings and install LED panels and occupancy sensors across classrooms.
• Small Power & Trunking: install plastic dado trunking, pull cables, install new sockets and Cat6 data points.
• Consumer Unit Support: assist distribution board upgrades and secondary containment.
• First & Second Fixing: standard commercial first and second-fix classroom alterations.

JIB Gold Card Electrician

• Location: Littleover, Derby
• Duration: 6 Weeks
• Start Date: Immediate
• Hours: 07 00 Monday to Friday, Saturdays available

We are seeking an experienced and reliable JIB Gold Card Electrician to join a fast-paced refurbishment project at a local primary school in Derby.

You will be working as part of an efficient, friendly team to deliver critical infrastructure and aesthetic upgrades before the children return for the September term.

Key Responsibilities:

• LED Lighting Retrofit: Removing outdated fluorescent fittings and installing high-efficiency commercial LED panels and occupancy sensors across classrooms.
• Small Power & Trunking: Running plastic dado trunking, pulling cable, and installing new double sockets and Cat6 data points for interactive whiteboards and IT suites.
• Consumer Unit Support: Assisting with distribution board (DB) upgrades and secondary containment.
• First & Second Fixing: Standard commercial first and second-fix classroom alterations.
