Job summary

Servara Ltd, a Devon-based plumbing and heating contractor, seeks an experienced Electrician to install Solar PV, air source heat pumps, and heating controls in domestic properties. Based in Tiverton or nearby, you will cover Devon, Somerset and Dorset, joining a growing team in the renewable energy sector.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• 2391 Testing and Inspection qualification (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in domestic electrical installation and renewables.

Responsibilities

• Installing and commissioning Solar PV systems within domestic properties.
• Wiring and connecting air source heat pump installations.
• Electrical wiring and controls associated with boiler and heating system installations.
• Carrying out electrical installation works in accordance with current regulations and industry standards.
• Testing and inspecting completed installations.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults when required.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and complies with BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
• Completing certification and maintaining accurate installation records.
• Liaising with customers and colleagues to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintaining company vehicle, tools and equipment in a professional manner.

Servara Ltd are pleased to be partnering with a respected and expanding plumbing and heating contractor based in Devon to recruit an experienced Electrician. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team working within the renewable energy and heating sector, carrying out electrical installations associated with solar PV, air source heat pumps and heating systems across domestic properties.

The successful Electrician will ideally be based in Tiverton or the surrounding areas and will cover Devon, Somerset and Dorset.

Electrician Duties Will Include:

• Installing and commissioning Solar PV systems within domestic properties
• Wiring and connecting air source heat pump installations
• Electrical wiring and controls associated with boiler and heating system installations
• Carrying out electrical installation works in accordance with current regulations and industry standards
• Testing and inspecting completed installations
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults when required
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and complies with BS7671 Wiring Regulations
• Completing certification and maintaining accurate installation records

The Electrician Will Need:

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
• 2391 Testing and Inspection qualification (or equivalent)
• Previous experience within a domestic electrical installation role
• Experience working on renewable technologies, Solar PV or heat pumps would be advantageous
• Strong fault-finding and problem solving skills
• Good understanding of current electrical regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• A clean and valid UK driving licence
