Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property in Billingham is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for a permanent, full-time role. Salary is £41,000–£42,000 per year, with 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, at a high-security facility.

The position covers planned maintenance, reactive repairs, and fault-finding across diverse electrical systems on site. Ideal candidates will hold 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations, City & Guilds/NVQ electrician qualifications, a full UK driving licence, and 1–2 years

Salary: £41,000 - £42,000 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and qualified Maintenance Electrician to join our dedicated Facilities Management (FM) team at a high-security operational facility.

In this role, you will play a vital part in keeping essential services running smoothly. You will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and fault-finding across a diverse range of electrical systems and equipment on site.

If you have a strong industrial or FM background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and are looking for a stable, long-term position with regular weekday hours, we want to hear from you.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Planned Maintenance: Execute routine Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on electrical equipment, distribution boards, machinery, and lighting systems to prevent operational downtime.
• Fault-Finding & Repairs: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults efficiently to ensure minimal disruption to site operations.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work adheres strictly to health and safety guidelines and current regulations, including IEE 18th Edition wiring standards.
• Site Support: Respond promptly to emergency faults or breakdowns across the facility.

Key Experience & Qualifications

• 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations: Current and fully certified.
• Vocational Qualifications: City & Guilds / NVQ qualified electrician.
• Driving Licence: Full, valid driving licence.
• Industry Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience as a fully qualified electrician.
