Job summary

Handley James Consulting Ltd is recruiting an Electrically Bias Maintenance Engineer for a growing manufacturing business. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining plant and equipment, improving reliability and reducing downtime.

You will diagnose electrical faults, perform reactive and planned maintenance, and support equipment upgrades including robotics. A time-served engineer with an engineering apprenticeship and HNC/HND is preferred, along with 18th Edition and strong health and safety

Qualifications

Time-served electrically biased maintenance engineer with an apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
Experience in reactive and planned maintenance including scheduled PMs.
Strong health and safety knowledge.
Experience with equipment upgrade projects, including robotics.

Responsibilities

Carrying out reactive maintenance and diagnosing electrical faults to restore equipment safely and minimise downtime.
Completing scheduled planned preventive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability.
Undertaking electrical and mechanical maintenance to support production requirements.
Identifying recurring faults through root cause analysis and supporting lasting maintenance improvements.
Supporting equipment upgrade projects, including robotics, and working with the wider team to improve plant performance.
Working in line with health and safety requirements and relevant engineering standards across all maintenance activities.
