Job summary

JTL is seeking an Electrical Workshop Technician & Trainer in London South to sustain a high‑quality workshop while delivering practical AM2S training to apprentices. This dual role combines hands‑on maintenance with focused teaching to prepare learners for end‑point assessment and future work in the industry.

You will support apprentices, maintain equipment, and collaborate with tutors and staff to ensure safety, compliance, and progression.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Installing and Commissioning Electrical Systems & Equipment (or equivalent).
• Level 3 Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations (2391–2394/5).
• Knowledge of BS 7671 IET Requirements for Electrical Installations.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, organised workshop for high‑quality hands-on learning.
• Prepare materials, equipment and bays to reflect industry practice.
• Deliver AM2S preparation sessions and practical training.
• Provide one‑to‑one and group coaching to close skills gaps before EPA.
• Use assessment to identify gaps and support progress toward EPA readiness.
• Give constructive feedback to help apprentices develop skills and professionalism.
