Job summary

Dovetail and Slate is seeking a Construction/Trade Tutor in Sunderland to deliver high-quality vocational education. You will guide and support learners as they gain practical skills and industry-recognised qualifications to launch or advance their careers.

The role requires teaching and assessing qualifications and a solid understanding of the education and vocational training sectors. You will work full-time, 36 hours per week, with an early finish one day per week.

• Qualified up to Level 3 in a relevant vocational trade.
• Recognised teaching and assessing qualifications (e.g., AET, PTLLS, TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent). Desirable.
• Strong understanding of the Education, Vocational Skills, and Training sectors.

Position Overview

Job Title: Construction / Trade Tutor

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: 36 hours per week (Mon-Fri: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, including an early 3:00 PM finish one day per week)

Location: Sunderland

Salary Range: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum

An established Training Provider is looking for an experienced Electrical Tutor to join their team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality vocational education, guiding and supporting learners as they gain practical skills and industry‑recognised qualifications to launch or advance their careers.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

• Trade Expertise: Qualified up to Level 3 in a relevant vocational trade.
• Teaching & Assessing: Possess recognised teaching and assessing qualifications (e.g., AET, PTLLS, TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent). Desirable.
• Industry Insight: Strong understanding of the Education, Vocational Skills, and Training sectors.
