Dovetail and Slate in Sunderland is seeking a Multi-Skills Construction Tutor to deliver practical and theoretical training, guiding learners as they build essential construction trade skills to support their future careers.

The role requires delivering engaging sessions, ensuring a safe learning environment, and supporting students through assessments while maintaining high professional standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified up to Level 3 in Construction trades.
• Teaching qualifications such as AET, PTLLS, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent are desirable.
• Good understanding of Education, Skills and Vocational Training sectors.
• Commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults; right to work checks and enhanced DBS checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical and theoretical construction training to learners.
• Inspire and guide learners to build essential construction trade skills.

Job Title: Multi-Skills Construction Tutor

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: 36 hours per week (Mon-Thurs: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM; Fri: 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM; occasional evenings/weekends with OT or TOIL)

Location: Sunderland

Salary Range: 30,000 - 38,000 per annum

About the Role

An established Training Provider is seeking a dedicated Multi-Skills Construction Tutor to join their educational team. In this role, you will deliver engaging practical and theoretical training, inspiring and guiding learners as they build essential construction trade skills to support their future careers.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

• Trade Expertise: Qualified up to Level 3 in Construction trades.
• Teaching & Assessing: Possess relevant teaching and assessing qualifications (e.g., AET, PTLLS, TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent) (Desirable).
• Sector Knowledge: Good understanding of the Education, Skills, and Vocational Training sectors.
• Commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults; subject to satisfactory vetting, right to work check, and enhanced DBS/PVG/EWC checks as required.
