Make UK is seeking skilled electrical professionals to provide essential training to future engineers, passing on knowledge and experience to secure the manufacturing industry's future. As a further education provider, Make UK offers an engaging workplace where you will mentor Manufacturing & Engineering apprentices.

The role involves developing and delivering engineering education with qualifications such as Pearson BTEC National Diplomas, EAL Vocational Awards, and City and Guilds. Teaching electrical skills up to Level 3.

Applications from industry professionals transitioning into education are welcome; training will be provided.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments
  • Creating course materials including handouts and references
  • Delivering practical training to apprentices and adults
  • Creating a motivational learning environment
  • Assessing learner progress and providing feedback

Required skills and experience:

  • Time-served apprentice, relevant City and Guilds (Part 3), or full Technical/National Certificate or higher
  • Level 3 (or higher) teacher training qualification (desired)
  • A1 and V1 qualifications (desired)
  • Industrial experience with current industry knowledge (desirable)
  • Good presentation and communication skills
