Job summary

Find. is seeking an Electrical Training Officer / Electrical Assessor to support apprentices and employers across South Wales from a home-based setting with regional travel. You will manage your own caseload, visit workplaces, and help apprentices progress while maintaining records.

Ideal candidates are Level 3 Electricians with hands-on experience. Assessor training funded if needed; full UK driving licence required; 25 days leave and annual bonus available.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Electrician qualification with hands-on industry experience.
• Recognised electrical apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Assessing qualifications (A1/TAQA) advantageous but not essential)

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular workplace visits and apprentice progress reviews.
• Assess apprentices against programme requirements.
• Monitor progress and ensure learners stay on track.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and constructive feedback.
• Support apprentices to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours.
• Work with employers to review apprentice performance and progression.
• Maintain accurate learner records and assessment documentation.
• Support apprentices towards successful completion of their programme.
• Keep electrical knowledge and assessment practices up to date.

Salary: Up to £40,000
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Are you an Electrical Assessor / Training Officer looking for a new opportunity?
Or are you a qualified Electrician / Installation Electrician / Maintenance Electrician looking to come off the tools and use your experience to support the next generation?
We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading national training provider looking for an Electrical Training Officer to support apprentices and employers across the South Wales region.
You do not need previous assessing experience. If you’re a qualified Electrician coming directly from industry, you’ll be supported through the relevant assessor qualification.
The role
You’ll manage your own caseload of Electrical apprentices across South Wales, travelling to their workplaces to support them throughout their apprenticeship.
Your responsibilities will include:

This is not a classroom teaching role. You’ll predominantly be out visiting apprentices and employers across your region, with autonomy to manage your own diary.
What we’re looking for

• Level 3 qualified Electrician
• Recognised Electrical apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Strong hands-on industry experience within electrical installation and/or maintenance
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Assessor qualification such as A1 / TAQA is advantageous, but not essential
• 18th Edition and Inspection & Testing qualifications are advantageous

Experienced Electricians coming straight from industry are encouraged to apply, with assessor training and qualifications funded.
