Job summary

Goom Electrical is seeking Domestic Electrician / Electrical Testers to deliver EICR programmes across social housing in Ballymena, Belfast and Newtownabbey. You will work within occupied properties for Housing Associations, carrying out testing and remedial works.

The role offers long-term contracts, a Monday–Friday pattern, and opportunities for progression, with company support and mentoring to grow with the business.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Electrical Qualification or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations compliance.
• ECS Card, or willing to obtain one.
• 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification, or willing to book and achieve it.
• Previous experience as a qualified electrician.
• Experience carrying out EICRs / electrical testing.
• Professional approach with good customer service.

Responsibilities

• Carry out EICR testing and electrical inspections in domestic properties.
• Complete electrical remedial works as required.
• Carry out fault finding and diagnostics.
• Undertake communal electrical works where required.
• Replace detectors where necessary.
• Ensure all work complies with regulations and company standards.
• Work professionally within occupied properties and maintain client communication.

Salary: £38,000–£40,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications along with Van, Fuel Card

We are hiring Domestic Electrician / Electrical Testers with experience carrying out EICRs and electrical testing within social housing or occupied residential properties.

You will be working on behalf of Housing Associations across Northern Ireland, delivering large-scale EICR programmes and associated remedial works.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out EICR testing and electrical inspections in domestic properties
• Complete electrical remedial works
• Carry out fault finding and diagnostics

• Maintain excellent customer service and communication with tenants and clients

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience as a qualified electrician
