Job summary

Excellis Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Tester for a Central London contract. The role covers electrical inspection, testing and certification on a commercial project with an immediate start and a duration of about one month.

The candidate should hold a JIB Gold Card/NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, and City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent, with strong experience in commercial testing and the ability to produce accurate EICs.

Qualifications

• JIB Gold Card or NVQ Level 3 qualified electrician.
• 18th Edition qualification.
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent.
• Strong experience in commercial electrical testing on fit-out or refurbishment projects.
• Own calibrated testing equipment and PPE.
• Ability to complete Electrical Installation Certificates (EIC) accurately.
• Reliable, independent worker.

Responsibilities

• Electrical inspection and testing on commercial installations.
• Initial verification and testing of electrical circuits.
• Completing Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs).
• Identifying and reporting electrical defects and non-compliances.
• Carrying out continuity, insulation resistance, polarity and RCD testing.
• Working from electrical drawings and specifications.
• Ensuring all testing complies with BS 7671 regulations.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and site safety.

£260 – £270 per day + 1 Month Contract + Commercial Project + Immediate Start

Secure a solid contract working on a commercial electrical project in Central London. We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Tester to join a professional site team carrying out electrical inspection, testing and certification works.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified Electrical Tester looking for an immediate start, competitive day rates and a well-organised commercial project.

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Approximately 1 month

Location: Central London

Project: Commercial Electrical Installation

Your Role Will Include:

• Electrical inspection and testing on commercial installations


• Initial verification and testing of electrical circuits


• Completing Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs)


• Identifying and reporting electrical defects and non-compliances


• Carrying out continuity, insulation resistance, polarity and RCD testing
