Job description

We are looking for a Commercial Gas Engineer to join our Building Services at Northwood.

To deliver on time, within budget, and in accordance with the Skanska Health & Safety policies and procedures ensuring compliance with the Gas Safety regulations for the site wide commercial gas fired installations and associated heating and hot water installations, building services plant and equipment, as delegated by the Engineering Supervisors / Managers in support of the maintenance of the site under the terms of the Northwood PFI contract.

What we are looking for:

• Able to carry out portable appliance testing including recording of results in a digital format
• To carry out security escorting duties to Sub Contractors ensuring site security rules and procedures are adhered to at all times
• Reactive Maintenance and extra work requirements in adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with HASAWA requirement.
• Fault Finding and plant adjustments.
• Execution of maintenance tasks in accordance with contract specification.
• Respond to re-active works.
• Appropriate Electrical/Mechanical skill sets, BMS experience and Multi-skilling capability desirable.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Good Understanding of Statutory Compliance HVCA DE Water Treatment.
• Health & Safety IOSH qualification or similar
• Forward thinking pro-active approach

Be able to hold and maintain DV STRAP security clearance
