Job summary

Siemens in Hindley Green seeks an Electrical Test & Quality Engineer to lead electrical testing and quality verification for bespoke power systems. You will inspect and test equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance before shipment, maintaining comprehensive records and FAT-related materials.

The role requires practical testing experience, fault-finding skills, and the ability to read schematics. A strong documentation mindset and Excel proficiency are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated electrical testing experience and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Good documentation and reporting skills, including Excel-based records.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine electrical testing on bespoke LV Switchgear Assemblies in line with safe working practices.
• Check wiring and component installation against schematics and engineering drawings.
• Conduct insulation resistance, continuity, dielectric, and functional tests.
• Maintain fault logs, test certificates, and quality documentation to ISO standards.
• Ensure compliance with BS EN 61439 requirements and customer specifications.
• Support preparation, delivery, and follow-up of FATs.
• Produce detailed test records, FAT documentation, and technical walkaround videos.
