Job summary
phs Compliance is seeking an Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer to join the Colchester area team. You will perform electrical testing and inspection tasks, including EICRs, emergency lighting, fire alarms, mains analysis, and thermal imaging; with a focus on timely reporting and compliant documentation.
The role requires proven electrical testing experience and qualifications such as NVQ/City & Guilds, 18th Edition, 2391/2394/2395, and AM2, plus a full UK driving licence.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 Part 1 & 2 is required.
- City & Guilds 18th Edition is required.
- City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 is required.
- AM2 qualification is preferred.
- Experience in electrical testing environments and with installation or project work is expected.
- Strong knowledge of UK health and safety regulations and good IT literacy.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out inspection and testing of electrical installations (EICRs).
- Completing Emergency Lighting Testing, Fire Alarm Inspections, Mains Analysis and Thermal Imaging.
- Undertaking minor remedial repairs as required.
- Completing reports and certification using cloud-based software.
- Ensuring all documentation is submitted accurately and on time.
