Orion Electrotech in Luton is seeking an experienced HV Test Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You will perform acceptance testing on large-scale electrical equipment, monitor test data and report results in line with quality procedures.
You will work closely with Electrical, Hydraulic, Quality and Production teams to ensure test plans, quality standards and safety requirements are met while supporting both current operations and future testing capabilities.
Location: Luton
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 Benefits
Working Hours: 37 Hours Monday to Friday with optional Start/Finish times
Monday – Thursday (06:00 – 14:15 or 07:00 – 15:15 or 08:00 – 16:30)
Friday (06:00 – 12:00 or 07.00 – 13.00 or 08:00 – 14:00)

Working closely with Electrical, Hydraulic, Quality and Production teams, you will ensure test plans, quality standards and safety requirements are consistently achieved while supporting both current operations and future testing capabilities.
As a HV Test Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out acceptance testing of large‑scale electrical equipment, monitoring and reporting test results, maintaining test systems and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a safety‑critical environment.
Due to the safety‑critical nature of this position, any offer of employment will be subject to the successful completion of an occupational health assessment. This assessment will confirm fitness to work safely within a high‑risk environment that includes exposure to high‑voltage testing and will be conducted in accordance with applicable health and safety legislation and company requirements.
