Job summary

Aqua Tech Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrician to install, maintain and inspect electrical systems on water and wastewater sites across Scotland. You will be responsible for commissioning, testing and fault-finding on MCCs, pumps and control panels while following WIMES and BS 7671 standards.

The role requires a recognized electrical apprenticeship, 18th Edition, and a proactive approach to safety, documentation, and collaboration with engineers and site teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in water/wastewater electrical installations and maintenance.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow method statements.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and commission electrical systems on water and wastewater sites.
• Deliver works to WIMES standards and client specifications.
• Perform electrical testing, inspection, and certification of installations.
• Troubleshoot MCCs, motors, control panels, and instrumentation.
• Maintain accurate site records and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and client representatives.
