Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an Electrical Technician to join the Peterborough-based engineering team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role covers installation, wiring, troubleshooting and commissioning across LV and ELV systems, including PLCs, HMIs and VFDs.

You will work in a hands-on maintenance capacity within a leading water equipment and processing manufacturer, with private healthcare, holiday allowance and other perks mentioned as part of the offering.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds Level 3 in electrical installations (mandatory).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations would be highly beneficial.
• Experience in industrial electrical works.
• Experience wiring and fault-finding PLC controlled equipment.

Responsibilities

• Installation of electrical systems.
• Working with single-phase, three-phase, low-voltage and extra-low voltage electrical circuits.
• Preparation and termination of electrical circuits.
• Troubleshooting electrical instrumentation and mechanical equipment and presenting technical solutions to address these issues.
• Testing electrical systems incorporating PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and relays.
• Commissioning of special build equipment, electrically and mechanically.
