Job summary

DMW Recruitment seeks an experienced Electrical Technician for Teesside on a permanent basis. You will manage electrical & I&C maintenance tasks, perform isolations with certificates, and review method statements to ensure a safe system of work and optimal plant performance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in petrochemical environments, with BTEC/NVQ or time‑served electrical apprenticeship and COMPEX 01‑04 plus BS7671 18th Edition awareness. On‑call duties apply and safety is paramount.

Qualifications

5+ years' experience in a petrochemical/chemical environment.
Electrical engineering qualification or time served apprenticeship.
COMPEX 01-04 certified; BS7671 18th Edition awareness.
Safety instrumented systems and heights safety awareness.

Responsibilities

Day to day management of maintenance tasks by E&I contractors.
Perform electrical isolations and issue isolation certificates.
Prepare and review method statements and risk assessments.
Maintain stock of critical electrical equipment and assist in assessments.
Provide electrical engineering support and fault finding to optimise plant performance.
Be part of on-call rota for emergency plant support.
