Job summary

BD Groups is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team, delivering installation, maintenance and repair work across projects in London and the Southeast. You will work with a skilled trades team to ensure quality outcomes for clients.

Role requires NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition and a clean UK driving licence; DBS clearance is expected due to site requirements. 36 hours per week in Barking & Dagenham, with travel across the borough.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 or above required.
• 18th Edition standard knowledge essential.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and enhance electrical systems and components.
• Inspect, test and diagnose electrical issues.
• Follow electrical codes, blueprints and standards.
• Test systems to ensure proper functioning.
• Document repairs and service details.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and parts.
• Calibrate equipment to specifications.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues promptly.
• Communicate with wider repairs and maintenance team and liaise with clients and suppliers.
