Job summary

Apleona is recruiting an Electrical Technician for a site near Hursley, Hampshire. You will perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance, liaise with clients, and take on LV duties as part of a small on-site team.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (IEE) required.
• Formal electrical qualification such as C&G Level 3 preferred.
• Experience in a facilities management environment is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills expected.
• Strong decision making ability and proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and reactive tasks on LV and related electrical systems.
• Interact with client/tenants to explain work and ensure high service standards.
• Act as site AP for LV duties and responsibilities.
• Assist with switching of distribution networks and fault diagnosis.
• Support continuous improvement and complete tasks as scheduled.

Electrical Technician

Location – Hursley, SO212JN

Hours – Monday – Friday, 08:00 -17:00

We are currently looking to recruit an Electrical Technician who will undertake planned and reactive maintenance. You will be hardworking and committed to ensuring the highest standards are always adhered to, readily interacting with our client / tenants as required. You will also be one of two appointed AP’s for the LV systems on site.

As part of the Electrical Technician role, you will:

• Legislative PPM tasks – including Emergency Luminaire Inspection, Test and Repair
• Reactive Maintenance tasks to a variety of plant and equipment as directed by the helpdesk
• Site AP for LV – Includes all AP duties and responsibilities
• Functional Switching of 11KV distribution network
• Fault diagnosis and solution identification/implementation
• Risk assessment
• Out of hours callout support based on a 1 week in 4 rota
• Adherence to PPM assigned to you by the scheduler
• Contribution to continuous process/system improvement
• Accurate identification of faults and timely implementation of appropriate solutions

As an Electrical Technician, we’re looking for:

• 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulation
• Other formal electrical qualifications such as C&G Level 3
• Experience in a similar role in a facilities management environment
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong decision making ability
