Job summary

Job description

Astute People's Power Team is exclusively working with the South Clyde Energy Centre to recruit a full team of Operations & Maintenance staff. The plant, currently under construction, will process up to 350,000 tonnes of waste annually, generating power for approximately 70,000 homes. This new Power Station is scheduled to commence commercial operations by the end of 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to join during the plant's commissioning, training, and mobilisation phases.

We are seeking an Electrical Technician to join the Maintenance Team at this brand-new facility. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on various critical plant equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  1. Fault finding and maintaining electrical assets including motors, transformers, switchgear, drives, and HV/LV plant.
  2. Following maintenance techniques and best practices.
  3. Participating in continuous improvement activities, plant inspections, and fault investigations.
  4. Assisting in plant development projects.
  5. Supervising and coordinating on-site contractors.
  6. Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site CMMS.
  7. Assisting in outage planning and execution.
