Job Title: Electrical Technician

Location: Roving - frequent travel to Heysham, Torness or Hartlepool

At Cavendish Nuclear, we’re working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as a Roving Electrical Technician.

The role

As an Electrical Technician, you will work with highly specialised equipment in the Nuclear sector, operating in a regulated, technically challenging environment. You will support power stations with maintenance during shutdowns, including tasks like wiring, assembly, and testing of electrical and electronic assemblies.

• Follow operational procedures within an ISO quality system, identifying variances for supervision.
• Assemble and wire electronic modules, control panels, and cubicles.
• Test PCBs and electrical equipment, recording results, and peer-checking.

This is a permanent role with contracted hours of 37 per week, including frequent overtime at 1.5x pay, day and night shifts, typically 12 hours. You will stay at various sites throughout the year.

Essential experience:

• Experience in electrical, avionics, or electronics roles.

Qualifications:

• HNC in electrical/electronic modules or substantial experience.

Security Clearance: Must obtain and maintain SC clearance.
