Job summary

Matthew James Group Ltd is seeking a Senior Electrical Technician in Oxfordshire for a fixed-term role. The successful candidate will install, test, commission, maintain and fault-find complex electrical systems while guiding junior technicians and supporting engineers with equipment design and implementation.

The role requires an ONC/OND, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, strong schematic interpretation, and hands-on experience with assembly,

Qualifications

• Qualified in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Proven hands-on experience with electrical/mechanical assembly and wiring.

Senior Electrical Technician

Fixed Term -Oxfordshire

Up to £45k

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading UK-based engineering organisation for a Senior Electrical Technician to join an experienced engineering team.

The role will involve the installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and fault-finding of complex electrical systems, together with providing technical guidance to other technicians and supporting engineers with equipment design and implementation.

• ONC/OND, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Strong ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Practical experience with electrical/mechanical assembly, soldering, crimping, cable manufacture and rack wiring.
• Good understanding of electrical safety and safe systems of work.
• Experience of instrumentation or control systems would be advantageous.
• Some experience supervising, mentoring or training technical staff would be beneficial.
