MERITUS is collaborating with an expanding Systems Integration Consultancy in Staffordshire to grow their engineering team following several new project wins. They are seeking experienced Electrical Technicians to join their production and wiring team.

If selected, you will be part of an experienced team working on the assembly, wiring, and installation of protection and control systems in highly regulated environments, including Energy and Power Generation sectors.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assemble and wire protection and control systems, including cable installations, terminations, and glanding of paired, multicore, copper, and fibre optic cables.
• Perform safety and functionality checks such as earth bond continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, and high-voltage withstand tests.
• Install cubicles, frameworks, cable trays, and other mechanical components according to project specifications.
• Travel to customer sites for on-site installations, troubleshooting, and ensuring project milestones are met.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Experience in E, C & I installations, especially in substation control or protection systems.
• Ability to interpret circuit diagrams, assembly prints, wiring schedules, and parts lists.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and work in challenging environments.
• Full UK Driving License required; additional certifications such as 18th Edition Wiring Regulations or National Grid Person are advantageous.
