Job summary

Luton Bennett is seeking an Electrical Technician (Maintenance Engineer) in Cullompton to maintain heavy machinery and drive systems. The role focuses on preventive maintenance on a rotating cycle, with support for PLC-driven control systems and electrical work across the site.

The successful candidate will have experience in electrical maintenance, knowledge of single- and three-phase electrics, and a practical mindset for hydraulics and pneumatics, with opportunities for overtime and career

• Background in electrical work, including single‑phase and 3‑phase electrics.
• Knowledge of 3‑phase electrics.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance on a range of heavy machinery and equipment.
• Focus on preventive maintenance (one week in four).
• Work with single‑phase, 3‑phase electrics, drives, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Support control systems on PLC‑driven machinery (no essential experience required).
• Perform electrical work around the facility, such as lighting and camera systems.

Electrical Technician (Maintenance Engineer)

Location: Cullompton

Compensation: Up to £39,500 + Call Out (1 in 4 weeks) + Overtime Opportunities + 20 Days Holiday (increasing to 25 with service) + Bank Holidays + Pension + Training + Career Development

Working Hours: 08:00 – 16:30 Monday to Friday (days only)
