Remanufacturing Electrical Technician West Midlands Competitive Salary Benefits Full Time | Permanent
Role
As a Remanufacturing Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and testing a wide range of electrical and electronic assemblies. Working within a specialist production environment, you will investigate component failures, carry out detailed repairs and ensure all products meet stringent quality standards before release.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess returned products and determine repair requirements.
- Carry out dismantling, inspection and rebuild activities following established work instructions.
- Perform electronic fault finding down to component level.
- Repair and rework PCB assemblies using a range of soldering and repair techniques.
- Interpret circuit diagrams, schematics and technical documentation.
- Test completed units against original manufacturer specifications.
- Accurately complete job documentation and production records.
- Identify additional material requirements where necessary.
- Report quality concerns and non-conformances promptly.
- Support production targets while maintaining high levels of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality and operational procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience carrying out electronic fault finding to component level.
- Strong PCB repair and rework skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and circuit drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working within a manufacturing, repair, or engineering environment.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
- Good communication skills and a team-focused approach.
Desirable
- Formal qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (NVQ, HNC, HND or equivalent).
- Experience within automotive, aerospace, defence, rail or other regulated engineering sectors.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and continuous improvement practices.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
