Thames Water is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician for our Thames Gateway site (IG11 0AD). You will maintain electrical assets, participate in installations, fault finding, and project commissioning, while supporting safety and training for apprentices.
A time-served apprenticeship or NVQ/C&G Level 3 in electrical engineering is expected, with 18th Edition preferred. Role includes a 38-hour week, standby rota, and overtime opportunities.
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician based at our Thames Gateway water production site, IG11 0AD.
As a successful candidate, you will be working at Thames Gateway AWTW, the only large-scale desalination plant used for drinking water in the UK, with a capacity of up to 75 million litres of water a day. A strategic site as part of the Thames Water drought plan. You will be working on the electrical assets across the site, working alongside the site process team. You will be within multiple disciplined teams that follow a robust maintenance plan, as well as getting involved in installation projects, electrical fault finding, project commissioning and emergency breakdown repairs. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to Thames Water's environmental impact, and you will be actively helping to reduce pollution from our sites.
