A leading company in the water sector is seeking an experienced Electrical Technical Support Engineer to provide technical support at their Hampton Sewage Treatment Works. The role involves ensuring the safe operation of electrical systems, mentoring colleagues, and managing maintenance reports. Candidates should possess a strong background in electrical engineering, safety procedures, and operational experience in large industrial utilities.
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technical Support Engineer to be based at our Hampton Sewage Treatment Works. You will be part of a team providing all-around technical support to the Electrical Services team across process operations and Capital Delivery. This includes scrutinizing the installation of new assets to ensure they meet TWUL asset standards and delivering directly managed projects.
At Thames Water, we operate a significant number of high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical power networks that are central to water production and waste treatment for 15 million customers.
The role of the Electrical Technical Support Engineer is to maintain the safe and reliable operation of these critical assets. A high level of knowledge in electrical technology, safety procedures, and providing expert support to core operations is essential. The team involved in frontline operation and maintenance requires continuous technical support for problem resolution, solutions implementation, asset upgrades, and incident investigation.
Base Location: Hampton Coal Wharf - TW12 2ES.
Working hours: 38 hours per week, Monday, plus out-of-hours rota with additional pay.
