Job summary

Randstad Business Support - London is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for Tata Steel, Shotton Works. The role focuses on maintaining and improving electrical systems in the Panels and Profiles department, with emphasis on reducing downtime and safe operation of equipment.

The ideal candidate holds an HNC in Electrical Engineering and has experience in heavy industry, including Siemens PLCs and process machinery.

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in electrical maintenance in heavy industry.
• Familiar with Siemens PLC control systems.
• IT literacy including MS Office and engineering software.
• Valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve electrical systems in Panels and Profiles.
• Repair electrical and process machinery to maximise uptime.
• Lead preventive maintenance programmes to reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot faults and breakdowns quickly and effectively.
• Collaborate with contractors and suppliers for resources.
• Coach operators on electrical safety and maintenance practices.
• Support continuous improvement within the department.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental policies are followed.
