Tata Steel, Steelpark site, is seeking an Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our 3-shift rotation (Mornings, Afters, Nights) on a 37.5-hour week. The role requires a strong electrical background and experience in heavy industry maintenance, with a start ASAP pending drug and alcohol screening.

Salary ranges from £39,747 to £47,194 per annum, including an 18% shift allowance. Applicants must be able to drive and commute to Wednesfield area near Wolverhampton.

Qualificações

• NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant electrical trade or a recognized apprenticeship.
• Strong electrical background with a proven track record.
• Experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding within a heavy engineering/industrial environment.
• Driving license and use of a car.
• Knowledge of electrical systems in heavy industry.

Responsabilidades

• Perform necessary breakdown repairs as soon as possible to prevent downtime.
• Lead preventative maintenance activities to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Facilitate engineering solutions for process improvement to ensure efficiency and productivity targets are met.
• Report and record maintenance and repair details using relevant IT and maintenance management systems.
• Support the development and implementation of processes complying with Tata Steel H&S Management System.
• Utilise the planned maintenance system (Pirana) to log work orders and highlight non-conformities.
• Assist in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain clear and concise records to track trends and identify improvements.

We have a permanent Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer role available within the Tata Steel's Steelpark site. Steelpark is the UK's largest steel distribution and processing centre and also one that is supported by a domestic steel mill.

£39,747 - £47,194 per annum (this includes an 18% shift allowance)

Shift Patterns

3-shift rotating pattern (mornings, afters and nights), Monday - Friday. 37.5 hours per week

Start

ASAP but pending the successful result of a medical assessment. This does involve a drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Perform necessary breakdown repairs as soon as possible to prevent downtime
• Leading preventative maintenance activities to reduce unplanned downtime
• Facilitating engineering solutions for process improvement to ensure efficiency and productivity targets are met
