Job summary

NY Highways is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to lead electrical engineering activities across North Yorkshire, including Leeming Bar, with travel to sites as required.

You will supervise operatives, manage the Street Lighting depot and ensure planned and emergency works meet time, safety and budget targets.

You’ll develop apprentices and support EV charging projects while liaising with clients and contractors on major schemes. Training and progression opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds Level 3 in electrical installation required.
• Wiring Regulations – 18th Edition knowledge essential.
• Experience in highway electrical activities as an agent or supervisor.
• Knowledge of street lighting design, inspection and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team replacing ageing lighting assets.
• Coordinating emergency fault repairs.
• Supporting EV charging infrastructure projects.
• Carrying out HEA/HERS assessments.
• Working with clients and contractors on major schemes.
• Developing apprentices and new starters.
