Job summary

Gov Facilities Services Limited (GFSL) is seeking an Electrical Supervisor for HMP High Down. You will lead a team of electricians and related trades, delivering safe and reliable electrical services within a prison environment.

Role requires focusing on safety, regulatory compliance, and timely maintenance across building services. The position includes a 39-hour week, full-time permanent contract and additional shift/weekend allowances.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience as an electrician or equivalent.
• Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical, building services.
• Experience of supervising staff.
• Full driving license preferably with D1.
• C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
• Certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements For Electrical Installations.
• 17th or 18th Edition.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a team of electrical staff to maintain and install electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards across facilities.
• Liaise with other trades and departments to plan maintenance programs.
