Job summary

Knowlton & Newman, part of the Rubix Group, is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead electrical teams on planned works, reactive maintenance and project installations. You will ensure all electrical activities are completed safely, on time and to the required standards.

The role also involves scoping new works, contributing to pricing, and supporting accurate quotations while maintaining BS 7671 and NICEIC accreditation where applicable.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• Testing & Inspection (2391 or equivalent).
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electricians and apprentices on site.
• Plan, allocate and monitor daily tasks.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the team.
• Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks, and team updates.
• Oversee electrical installation, maintenance and testing works.
• Ensure projects meet drawings, specifications and RAMS.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Report issues, delays, or variations to the Project Manager.
• Ensure work complies with BS 7671 and Electricity at Work Regulations and company H&S policies.
• Carry out testing, fault finding and commissioning; complete electrical certificates and reports.
• Act as main contact during external audits/assessments.
• Maintain strong client relationships and resolve site issues promptly.
• Maintain records of labour, materials and site activities.
• Assist with variations, quotations and job completion documentation.
