Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical building services in a busy healthcare estate in Hammersmith, London. You will lead engineers and subscontractors, ensure PPM and reactive works meet contracts, and supervise RAMS, permits, and safety compliance in a live environment.

The role focuses on performance reporting, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement to maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

• Electrically qualified with City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations required.
• Experience in a Supervisory/Lead Engineer role within FM or Building Services.
• Knowledge of RAMS, Permit to Work systems and compliance processes.
• Experience using CAFM systems and producing maintenance reports.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a team of electrical maintenance engineers and specialist subcontractors.
• Ensure all planned maintenance (PPM) and reactive works meet contractual requirements.
• Review and approve RAMS and Method Statements (RAMS).
• Issue and manage Permits to Work per site safety procedures.
• Monitor activities via CAFM systems; keep records up to date.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
• Produce technical reports; monitor KPIs and SLAs; support contract reviews.
• Liaise with site stakeholders to maintain service delivery.
• Identify electrical plant defects; coordinate remedial works.
• Support quotations, scope prep and recommendations for additional works.
• Assist Contract Manager with day-to-day delivery and improvements.
• Oversee LV distribution, switchgear, emergency lighting, UPS, generators.

Electrical Supervisor – FM Service Provider – Hammersmith, London – Up to £53,000 per annum

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading FM service provider delivering maintenance services across a large and prestigious healthcare estate in West London. The site comprises a diverse range of buildings and critical environments, requiring a high standard of engineering support to ensure the smooth operation of essential services. The role involves overseeing the delivery of electrical building services across a busy, occupied environment, ensuring all planned and reactive maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers and specialist contractors, with a strong focus on compliance, operational performance, and stakeholder engagement.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, 08:00am – 17:00pm

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a team of electrical maintenance engineers and specialist subcontractors
• Ensure all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works are completed in accordance with contractual requirements
• Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
• Issue and manage Permits to Work in line with site safety procedures
• Monitor maintenance activities through CAFM systems, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, statutory regulations, and company procedures
• Produce technical reports, monitor KPIs and SLAs, and support contract performance reviews
• Liaise with site stakeholders and operational teams to maintain exceptional service delivery
• Identify electrical plant and equipment defects, coordinating remedial and improvement works
• Assist with quotations, scope preparation, and technical recommendations for additional works
• Support the Contract Manager with the day-to-day delivery of the contract and continuous improvement initiatives
• Oversee the maintenance of electrical systems including LV distribution, switchgear, emergency lighting, lighting systems, UPS systems, generators and associated electrical plant
• Ensure electrical compliance, testing and maintenance activities are completed and accurately documented

Requirements

• Electrically qualified (City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Previous experience in a Supervisory or Lead Engineer position within FM or Building Services
• Strong understanding of RAMS, Permit to Work systems, and compliance processes
• Experience using CAFM systems and producing maintenance reports
• Good knowledge of commercial electrical building services and associated plant
• Experience working within critical or highly regulated environments would be advantageous
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively
