Job summary

Virtual Hire Staffing seeks an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead the on-site electrical team in Fareham, coordinating with the Electrical Operations Manager and acting as the main client contact on projects.

You will mentor junior electricians, ensure works meet safety and quality standards, and support project managers with progress and labour planning. A strong electrical background and driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification is required.
• ECS Gold Card is desired.
• 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification is desirable.
• Experience leading electrical teams on-site is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Electrical Operations Manager with the day‑to‑day running of the electrical team.
• Lead and organise the electrical team on-site, ensuring everyone is briefed on installation and H&S requirements.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients across electrical projects.
• Liaise with Project Managers and the Electrical Operations Manager on progress, material changes and labour requirements.
• Develop and mentor the electrical team, supporting training plans and appraisals.
• Attend site meetings and surveys, and lead coordination with other contractors on-site.
• Undertake quality control audits of installations to ensure compliance with company and client standards.
• Act as secondary Qualified Supervisor, deputising for the Electrical Operations Manager as required.
• Promote a positive H&S culture and undertake site safety audits.

Salary & Package: Up to £52,000 + Door-to-Door Pay (OTE £65,000), Company Vehicle, 23 days holiday

We’re working with a well‑established building services provider who are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join their team. The business has built a strong reputation for quality and reliability, delivering electrical installation, repair and maintenance projects for a loyal client base. This is a great opportunity for a hands‑on Electrical Supervisor to take the lead on‑site, supporting the Electrical Operations Manager, developing the wider electrical team, and acting as the main point of contact for clients on electrical projects.

The Role

As Electrical Supervisor, you’ll take responsibility for the day‑to‑day supervision and management of the electrical team, ensuring all works are delivered safely, compliantly and to a high standard. You’ll act as the main point of contact for clients on‑site, support the development of junior electricians, and deputise for the Electrical Operations Manager as required.

About You

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification
• ECS Gold Card
• 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification (Desirable)
• Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor, Senior Electrician or similar within a building services or electrical contracting environment
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation regulations and codes of practice
• Experience managing, leading or mentoring electrical teams on‑site
• Comfortable acting as a client point of contact and coordinating with other trades
• Full UK driving licence required (company vehicle provided)

You’ll have a strong background in electrical installation, repair and maintenance works across commercial and industrial projects, ideally within a building services or specialist contracting environment.
