The Trust in Cambridge is seeking a reliable stores person/driver to manage stores operations, deliver and collect electrical plant, equipment, lighting and materials to construction sites around Cambridge. The role includes maintaining stock records, and coordinating deliveries with site supervisors.

Ideal candidates will have an electrical background, experience with tools and equipment, and a practical, flexible approach to work.

Qualifications

• Electrical background and experience with tools and equipment.
• Good understanding of a busy construction environment.
• Physically capable of regular manual handling.

Responsabilités

• Booking plant, equipment and materials in and out of the stores and maintaining accurate records.
• Inspecting, cleaning, repairing lighting and plant where required.
• Liaising with site supervisors to coordinate and schedule deliveries and collections.
• Ensuring vehicles, tools, equipment and stores are kept clean, organised and maintained.
• Monitoring stock levels and reporting any damaged, missing or faulty equipment.
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and ensuring materials are secured correctly for transport.
• Assisting site operatives and supervisors with general duties when the stores workload is quiet.
• Carrying out additional site-based duties within the Cambridge area when required.
